Formula G3™ – A Key Bait Color for Consistent Bass Fishing

Through extensive field testing both in research and in tournaments Formula G3™ has earned its #2 ranking in the family of Xtreme Bass Tackle™ colors. It is one of the few baits that have a consistent bite from the start of the season to the end. This is rare. When it comes down to how the bass bite a bait and how often, the action on most baits show a definite trend with peaks and valleys in performance. That’s why when catching is more important than just fishing, a bait like Formula G3 can keep fish coming under most conditions.

The color was first introduced by Bob Dunlap of Reaper Products as green pumpkin with medium chartreuse flake and small chartreuse flake. It was an instant success so Xtreme Bass Tackle™ expanded on the 4″ tube version of the bait and created a 5″ tube, 4″ Skirted Twin Tail, 4″ and 5″ X-worm™, drop-shot tube™ and for a limited time a goby style bait was also in the mix. All versions of this bait color have been strong, consistent producers.

Wayne, I rode your G3 tube to an $11,000 payday at the Canadian Open by Capital One. Thanks again for a great product. Dan Mason

  • Two years ago the drop-shot version sold out during the summer
  • In 2007 Paul Grove catches a 7 lb. 9 oz. smallmouth on the 5″ version (see: Biggest Smallmouth Bass Caught on Xtreme Bass Tackle™ Baits)
  • Wells Kaiser from Cuba City, Wisconsin heads out with his dad and me and proceeds to consistently boat the biggest smallies on the 5″ tube
  • Dan Mason of Paincourt, Ontario finished 3rd in the Canadian Open by Capital One and the WFN and he credits FG3 for the $11,000 payday
  • Jerry Johnston from the west side of the state already posted kudo’s for FG3 (click here for his posted comments)
  • FG3 in the 4″ and 5″ X-worm are outselling Canadian Mist and Slither in 2010

At this point in the season inventory is running strong and all versions of this bait are available from Xtreme Bass Tackle™.

  1. Victor Sadik Says:

Nothing better than a fishing joke. My brother just shared this joke with me: Fishing rules:Fishing rule #1: The least experienced fisherman always catches the biggest fish. Fishing rule #2: The worse your line is tangled, the better is the fishing around you. Fishing rule #3: Fishing will do a lot for a man but it won’t make him truthful.
