Paul Grove of Elkhart, Indiana hooked up with this St. Clair River monster in 2007. He was practicing in the upper part of the river for a tournament and caught this 7 pound 10 ounce smallmouth on a Reaper Products Design, 5″ Formula G3™ tube carried through Xtreme Bass Tackle.
NOTE: Through years of research and tracking customer success I’ve found several of my bait designs to be “big fish” oriented: St. Clair Goby™, Great Lakes Perch™, St. Clair Crayfish™, Firetiger, the Great Lakes Craw™ – drop-shot tube and of course the 5″ Formula G3 tube. The Reaper Products 5″ Formula G3 designed by Bob Dunlap has brought in the largest numbers of big fish for customers over the years.
Special thanks to Paul for permission to publish this and a hearty “well done” to him as well. That must have been one exciting moment on the river that day.
